His sons are now in charge
Seventy-year-old Naba Kumar Biswas, the quiet family guardian does not feel in danger and sleeps directly on the veranda of the mud house he shares with his wife. They both get out of the mosquito net. Naba crosses the yard where the cows and bulls are expecting him. Naba cares for the family’s animals and they seem to live a relation of their own. He takes the animals out of the barn were they were secured for the night, milks the cow keeping the needs of the family and sells the rest. He then sits, to prepare their food. His routine is done in silence and at the speed his hurting legs allow him. There are only choices for him now, no more obligations. His two sons are now in charge.
